RESURRECTING HOMEWOOD RUGBY.....

The Homewood Rugby Team resurrected in 2017 by Coach Mubarik "Mu" Ismaeli. Coach Ismaeli was encouraged by former Homewood Rugby Coach Dorien "Doc" Russell to bring back the Rugby program as another alternative to keep the youth active with no idle time. Coach Ismaeli took Coach Doc's advice and partnered with the Pittsburgh Harlequins to bring Ruby to the Homewood area for males 7-14 years of age. The 2018 Season starts Monday, April 9th at 530 PM at Homewood Field. To register please contact us through our contact page. There is no fee to participate in the Ruby Program. HWA, began in 2017, led by Coach Mubarik "Mu" Ismaeli (former coach and Director of Operations for WAJW), Coach Audie "ACE" Chapman, Coach Donald Matthews and Coach Joseph Mitchell. HWA provides structured wrestling practices and tournaments for co-ed youth ages 5-14. The mission of the wrestling program is to instill in the youth three key components, Discipline, Discipline and Discipline. We provide specialized high quality wrestling technique and skill training from November-March. If interested in joining our wrestling team click on the link above.
